Welcome to Ellie’s Fund, which was set up following Ellie’s death in 2006 and in her memory. You can read more about Ellie in About Ellie

We exist to raise money for mental health care, an area which is all too frequently the poor relation when it comes to healthcare funding, and which is very often the first to be affected by funding cutbacks.

Our core activity is the provision of funding for creative therapies, projects, workshops and courses for persons suffering from mental health difficulties.

4th June was a day unlike many we’ve experienced recently in London – the air was filled with the light and warmth of a strange golden globe in the sky (we have since been informed this is called “the sun”).  Whereas many Londoners fled to parks and pub gardens, sixty assorted comedy lovers dragged their overheated selves to Doggett’s Coat and Badge for a night of guffaws and hysterics, whilst raising money for the wonderful work of Ellie’s Fund.

The staff, members and guests of Falcon Chambers, London EC4Y 1AA, held a Christmas Auction in December 2011 in aid of two charities, Ellie’s Fund and Friends of Young Carers (Wigan and Leigh). A staggering total of over £10,000 was raised, of which Ellie’s Fund received £5,847.50. A huge thank you to all those who organised the event, donated items/promises or made bids. Your kindness and generosity is simply amazing.

Our warmest thanks to Karen Richards, who bravely undertook a sponsored weight loss for Ellie’s Fund and lost 11lbs over a month, raising £581 in the process. We really are hugely grateful!
